Nelly

Everydaystray received a message from Anna a dear friend of the shelter who had seen a post on a local Facebook page asking for help with a little dumped and injured puppy. The lady who found her worked in a local shop and was able to care for when she was in the shop but the owner was becoming tired of having the little one in his shop, this was when we were asked to help.

As Nelly was small and injured this made her very vulnerable being on the streets.

Pia and Leonie Mouse who were volunteering at the shelter went to collect Nelly and take her for medical attention. Nelly had either a suspected broken leg or fractured knee. and would need further x-rays and examinations  once fully vaccinated as she was only just over one month old she was very vulnerable to illness, especially Parvovirus. Nelly then came to the shelter and was placed in quarantine.

Nelly is such a loving little girl. She is always wagging her tail and is always available to give her fluffy cuddles.

She is currently awaiting to visit a specialist surgeon to be physically assessed for her leg which may need to be operated on. Nelly never shows pain of discomfort with her leg, such a brave loving little girl.
