My name is Kalimba which means thumb piano. Everydaystray gave me this name as the Kalimba makes a gentle soft musical sound and as my personality is soft and gentle the named suited me.

When Everydaystray received a call about me, my life was not good; I was abandoned in a small village on the edge of Gabrovo. I was very frightened, hungry and alone. I hid away from people as they shouted at me or threw things at me. I do not understand, I am not angry with them, I just want some food!

When the team came out to find me I did not know then that they wanted to help me so I made it very difficult for them to catch me. Because I was so hungry and frightened at the people who lived around where I live after some time they caught me and I did then feel very scared, I not know what they were going to do with me.

After medical checks I was taken to the shelter. I was now in a safe place.

I am still a little nervous around people but I have lots of new dog friends and one in particular, Alice who I look after.

Maybe in time I will learn to like people so I need a home with people with experience of nervous dogs and have a lot of patience. Could this be you?
