Erin was found by Neil just outside of Sevlievo. She had been dumped at the side of a very busy road.

When Neil looked at her closely not only was she very frightened but painfully thin.

Neil managed to catch little Erin and after health checks brought her back to the shelter. We were surprised she had no serious health issues only the need to take calcium to improve her calcium levels. She weighed only 9 kgs which is very underweight for a dog this size and age.

After spending time with Erin she was very fearful of people and being touched, especially around the neck. We think she had been a chained dog as she particularly did not want to be touched around the neck.

At first she would not take food from the hand.

In time we are making slow progress with her. She is becoming more confident. Erin will need time to heal and trust the two legs again, she has clearly been very badly treated.

All she needs now is time and eventually find her a loving home.
