Red was a well known street dog known as Grandpa. The people in his community loved him and took care of him in their own way. One day a man who did not like Red decided to shoot him with an air rifle from his flat.

Red was shot in his rear leg. Immediately the caring community responded to Red and took him for emergency treatment. Following his treatment the community were concerned about putting him back on the street and feared for his safety, that is when they contacted us. Luckily we had space and he came to the shelter.

Red’s wound is healing with the aid of calcium.

He actively joins in with the pack walks and Neil calls him the pack leader, well he is the Grandpa of the pack!

Red’s character slowly started to show, he really is a funny character.
