Finally, I have a name after 10 years… Wilbur, it is and I love it.
I can’t quite remember the early years but can tell you that I can certainly remember when I was bashed by a car. So I will tell you as much as possible from that dreadful day.
I thought I had a home, a safe place but it was a shell where people lived occasionally. The sad thing is they remembered me occasionally as well.
So I existed, survived, scrounged for food and water and used the shell for shelter from the cold and heat.
I am not pretty, cute, cuddly or shiny I was spotted by a member of the Everydaystray team. They did not look at me, they saw me.
I hid and ran off, well I would I am a street dog you know! You can’t trust people.
I lost, they caught me.
Then they began to care for me in a way I have never known before.
Dogs like me have a beautiful shiny coat when groomed and cut. One problem, I could not do it for myself. I also have a skin infection which they are treating me at the shelter with medical treatment.
My leg is sore from the car accident but I have overheard that they will help me, the same as Papillon another dog here, but I need my skin to get better first.
I do not mind waiting because I have a bed, water, food and people who care for me.
