I took Liska on as my dog when I brought my house in Bulgaria. It is with great sadness that I have had to give her up and she needs a new home! I have to go back to the UK and have no idea when I will return.
My understanding of what would happen to Liska when I brought this house was that the owner would have put her back on the street from where she originally came.
It was not my intention to have any animals here. When I first introduced my self to Liska she was a yard dog. Left out side 24/7 to guard the house. She became so excited at the attention I have always used the term she momentarily turned into a circus dog because she became so excited at being fussed over she jumped in the air ran around in circles and jumping and running backwards and forwards with excitement! She did not know what to do with herself.
So I must have fallen in love with her at that moment because I agreed to take her on and did not want her turned onto the street!
I have turned this street/yard dog into a pet. She has full access to the house and sleeps inside not in the garden any more! She loves being in the house and I take her for a walk everyday on her lead. She loves her walk! I have changed her diet from just cheap biscuits to a mixture of nicer biscuits and wet food combined. She loves dinner time now too!
She is a very loving dog and I have seen her with children and she has always been fine with other adults and children. She will always bark if someone comes near the house but that’s just her doing what she thinks is her job!
So she has been turned from a street dog into a Pet and she needs a home where she will treated as a pet and not a yard dog.
