Hello, my name is Betty and I did not have the best start to life. My sister Eliza and I were born at a house, our mother; Martha lives on a very short chain on a nest of ants and has just had 6 puppies.
We had a small taste of freedom, which was great but because the neighbours did not like us and threatened to hurt us so our owner put us in a cage which would probably be the size of a rabbit hutch.
When one day we were discovered by Everydaystray they saw the horrible, filthy conditions in which we lived. We had no shelter, water or food and we had to use the cage as a toilet.
Everydaystray told our owner that these were unacceptable conditions for us and took us away.
We were so happy, freedom at last!
After our health check, we were taken to the shelter, Gosh! It was great. We had new friends, freedom, shelter, water and food. It was heaven!
Sadly, my sister Eliza became very sick and we were taken to the vet urgently. Eliza did not win the fight with the sickness and I returned to the shelter on my own. My new friends welcomed me back.
Now I am hoping someone will spot me here and offer me a little home, forever!
